Kindred Practice
Team & Organization Management

A practice that runs well, whatever its shape.

Whether you work independently or alongside a team, Kindred Practice holds the operational side of your practice — so the clinical side stays front and centre.

Structure that fits how you work.

Mental health practices take many forms. Some are one person, one room, one caseload. Others bring together clinicians across specialisations, locations, or supervisory relationships. Many move between these states over time.

Kindred Practice is built to hold all of it. The team and organization features give group practices the infrastructure they need — role-based permissions, multi-clinician oversight, consolidated reporting, and the kind of organizational clarity that lets a practice function well without adding administrative burden. And because it's all within the same platform, nothing needs rebuilding as your practice evolves.

What's included

🔐

Role-based access and permissions

When more than one person is working within a practice, controlling who sees what matters — clinically, ethically, and practically. Assign roles across your team — clinician, supervisor, administrator — and configure exactly what each role can access. Client confidentiality is protected by design, not by policy alone.

👁️

Supervision and clinical oversight

For practices that include supervisory relationships, Kindred Practice supports structured access between supervisors and supervisees. Supervisors can review session notes and clinical documentation for the clinicians in their care, within a permission framework that keeps everything contained and appropriate.

Multi-clinician scheduling and caseload management

Manage availability, appointments, and client assignments across multiple clinicians from a single view. Each practitioner retains their own calendar and caseload, while practice administrators can see the full picture — useful for coordinating referrals, balancing workload, and keeping the practice running smoothly.

📍

Multi-location support

Running sessions across more than one location — or supporting clinicians who do? Kindred Practice handles multiple practice locations within a single account. Scheduling, settings, and service configurations can be tailored by site while staying connected to the same organizational structure.

Consolidated reporting across practitioners

Financial and operational reporting extends across the whole team. See revenue, session volume, and caseload data per clinician — and the practice as a whole — without assembling reports manually. Payroll calculations for multiple practitioners are built in, so the numbers are always current.

🤝

Team onboarding and account management

Adding a new clinician to your practice takes minutes. Set their role, configure their permissions, connect them to the relevant clients and calendars, and they're ready to work within the same platform you're already using. No parallel systems, no duplicated setup.

Organization-wide settings and policies

Apply practice-wide defaults — cancellation policies, session templates, communication preferences, branding — across your whole organization, while still allowing individual clinicians the flexibility they need. Consistency at the organizational level, autonomy at the practitioner level.

Secure internal communication

Coming Soon — When your team needs to communicate internally about scheduling, administrative matters, or clinical coordination, Kindred's encrypted messaging keeps those conversations within the platform and compliant with PHIPA and HIPAA requirements. No third-party apps carrying sensitive practice information.

How it works

🏗️

Set up your organizational structure

Define how your practice is organized — locations, roles, and service configurations. Set the defaults that apply across the whole practice, and the flexibility that individual clinicians retain within it.

👥

Add and configure your team

Bring clinicians, administrators, and supervisors into the platform with the right roles and permissions from day one. Each person works within their own view of the practice — seeing what they need, and nothing they shouldn't.

🖥️

Manage the practice from one place

Scheduling, reporting, client assignments, and oversight all stay within a single platform. No parallel systems, no manual reconciliation, no switching between tools to get a complete picture of how the practice is functioning.

Add complexity only when you need it

A new location, a new clinician, a new supervisory relationship — each addition is handled within the same structure. The platform adapts as the practice does, without requiring any rebuilding of what's already in place.

Frequently asked questions

On the Group plan, you can add as many clinicians and locations as your practice requires. See our [Pricing page](/pricing) for a full breakdown of what's included at each plan level.

Supervisors can be granted access to the session notes and clinical documentation of the clinicians they supervise. This access is role-specific and permission-controlled — it applies only to the supervisory relationship you've defined, and doesn't extend to other clients or clinicians in the practice.

Yes. Each clinician can have their own rate configuration, session types, and billing setup. Consolidated reporting brings these together at the practice level for payroll and financial oversight.

Yes. Each clinician only has access to their own clients by default. Shared access — for administrative purposes, supervision, or coordinated care — is explicitly configured through the permissions system and never happens automatically.

Each location can have its own scheduling settings, service configurations, and availability — while all sitting within the same organizational account. Clinicians can be assigned to one or more locations, and administrators can see across all of them from a single view.

Yes. Organization-wide defaults provide consistency across the practice, while location-specific settings allow for the flexibility that different sites or teams may need. Both layers are configurable and can be adjusted at any time.

The tools hold the organization. The people hold the care.
